Welcome to my home page.
My
wife, Sarah, and I started researching into my family history in 1989
and were fortunate enough to get as far back as 1688 within a few
months. This was not so much due to the skill of the researchers as to
the fact that we lived very close to the East Sussex County Record
Office in Lewes! As the family lived largely in that county, it was a
relatively simple task to gather the information.
It never ceases to amaze me just how much genealogical information is available on the net; indeed I have directly or indirectly located and contacted a number of distant (seven times removed!) cousins in Australia and New Zealand as well as in the UK - all from information gleaned on line.
Sadly, Sarah passed away in January 2005 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer.
